Decria was a project for a Minecraft game server with RPG elements. Every feature is a separate Spigot 1.16 plugin in Java 11 with Maven: sign-in, currency, quests, dungeons, an area editor, race selection or spawn. They all build on a shared core that stores users, races, areas, currencies and quests in MariaDB through ORMLite. Three of us built it from March to May 2021, with branches and pull requests on GitHub.
My part
- The idea. The whole concept of the server, an RPG with races, quests and dungeons, was mine.
- Quests. A quest list as an inventory menu and as a book, accepting a quest and claiming the reward: items according to records in the database, and each quest only once.
- Bans. A banned player does not disappear from the server: they get a LuckPerms group and are moved to a separate world, the purgatory. Unbanning sends them back to the main world.
- Smaller pieces. The first version of the race selection menu, a command that lets an administrator cancel a player's registration, and changes to automatic sign-in.
